It's bee hot here in SoCal, and one day I was reminiscing this soothing Buddhist vegetarian lunch I had at a monastery in Koyasan, Japan. It was a hot day there, too, but the tatami floor room was so cooling, and the meal was light, healthy and just perfect.
南カリフォルニアもけっこう暑くなって来ました。ふと、高野山のあるお寺でいただいた、なんとも美味しい精進料理のことを思い出していました、、。あの日も暑かったけれど、畳の和室は涼しくて、お料理もライトでヘルシーで完璧でした。
Then I remembered this beautiful lunch I had in the Loire Valley, France. I was staying at my dear French friend's summer house there, and we ate in her garden every day. It was just too beautiful, and it was like a heaven!
そして、フランスはロワーヴァリーの素晴らしいランチも思い出しました。フランス人の親友の夏の別荘に泊まっていたのですが、毎日彼女の庭で食事をしたものです。とにかく美しくて天国のようでした！
And now, this is my daily lunch... well, not every day to be exact, but this store, "The Deli Lhama"
is on the next block from where I live. When we were looking for a place to live in San Diego we ran into this deli, and I saw it as a "sign" to live here... yes, due to my love and respect for the Dalai Lama!
そして、ここが今のランチ、、。毎日ではないですが、時々来るお店、「デリ・ラマ」は我が家からたったの１ブロック先にあります。実はサンディエゴで物件を探している時に、偶然みつけたお店。「これはサインに違いない、、」と思い、ここに住むことに決めたのでした。そう、私のダライラマ法王への尊敬心から、、！笑
