India 10~ Khan Market~インドへの旅１０〜カーン・マーケット

The report from my recent India trip is getting close to the end (will have one more.) Today I will write about my favorite shopping spot, Khan Market in Delhi. I always spend my last days in India at this "town" where you can find many beautiful stores and unique things.

インドへの旅日記も、あと一回で終わりです。今日は
デリーにある私のフェバレイトショッピングスポット、
「カーン・マーケット」。インドの旅の最後は、必ず
ここでお買い物！ステキなショップが沢山集まって
いる「街」です。




My favorite of all is a store called, "Good Earth." I wish I could buy the entire store! Every item they sell is just lovely. They also sell some pillows with some original and vivid fabrics (top photo)!

中でも一番のお気に入りは、「グッド・アース」という
お店。もうお店全部を買いたくなるほど美しいもの
が揃っているんです。上の写真はユニークな生地を
使用したオリジナルピロウ（クッション）。

Those mug cups were absolutely adorable, and I just did not know which one to choose! I wanted them all! However, they would break, and my suitcases were already super full... So I chose the elephant tea sets. Of course I will come back here, Khan Market, when I visit India again. Until then just stay pretty :)

全部ほしい、、、
割れ物だし、スーツケース２個はパンパンだし、
結局私がゲットしたのは、最初の写真のぞうさん
デザインのティーカップ２種類をひとつづづ。
次回まだインドに来たら、必ずチェックしますよ！

India 5~ Chai~ インドへの旅５〜チャイ〜

As I have titled my blog, "Chai Time" you can imagine how much I love chai. To me
the best chai exits in India... on the street. Just like this photo above the chai huts
make their chai in huge pots boiling to its perfection!


ブログのタイトルにもあるように、私は根っからのチャイ狂です。
やっぱりチャイが最高に美味しいのはインド。しかも、その辺の
路上の屋台が美味しい。そう、こんな風に大きなお鍋でグツグツ
と煮立てているがコクがあるんです！



We stopped in a small village on the way to the Himalayas from Delhi, and
I encountered this amazing chai. It was incredible, and probably one of the
best 3 chai I have ever had in my life!


デリーからヒマラヤの奥地へと向かう途中で一息
した村でのチャイ。これは絶品だった。今までの人生
で飲んだチャイのベスト３に入る！



I also enjoyed this elegant afternoon tea at my favorite hotel that I always
stay in Delhi, the Imperial. The tea sets were made by Richard Ginori, I think,
and as I was so taken by the whole ambiance I cannot remember the taste of
the chai at all...

このなんとも美しいティーセット（見たらジノリか
なにかでした～）のチャイは、いつも泊まるデリーの
インペリアルホテルでいただいたティータイムの
チャイ。あまりにも素晴らしい雰囲気に酔ってしまい
お味はオボロゲ～

こちらは、タージホテルでいただいたチャイ。
ちょっとスパイスがききすぎていて、まあまあの出来映え
でした。



Well, these are... the lovely tea sets from my favorite store, Good Earth from my
favorite shopping place, Khan Market in Delhi. The elephants designs are too
cute, and I wanted them all! However, there was no way I could bring them all
back... so I purchased only two sets :p Everyday, I am enjoying my chai time
in those charming tea cups, and reminiscing about my glorious time in India...
Just to taste the best chai I will go to India again very soon!


これはねえ～、、、！私がだ～い好きなカーン
マーケット（デリーにあるショッピング街）の
「グッドアース」のティーセット。愛するゾウサンの
デザインがもう可愛くて可愛くて発狂しそう！
ぜ～んぶほしかったけれど、どう考えても持って
帰れなかったので、たった２つ買いました。笑
毎日、このティーセットで自家製チャイを楽しみ
ながら、懐かしいインドの思い出に浸っています。
チャイを飲むだけでも、また絶対インドに行くぞ。
