"Save the Himalayas" have been shipped! 絵本を贈りました！

I am so happy to announce that my new book, "Save the Himalayas" have been shipped to the main office of The Dalai Lama in New Delhi, India! Upon the arrival the books will be distributed to 77 Tibetan refugee schools in India, Nepal and Bhutan. "Save the Himalayas" is a children's book that is written in English, Japanese and Tibetan. It is about protecting the environment.
The photo shows my 3 other books at a library of the Tibetan refugee school in Leh, Ladakh. The books were getting so torn because the children read them over and over, they said. I was so happy that I burst into tears.
My publisher, Sanctuary Publishing, helped us so much in the process of shipping. Again I thank all of you who have helped this project! Thank you!

絵本「不思議な冒険」を、インドはニューデリーにある
ダライ・ラマ法王の事務所ヘッドクオーターに贈りました！
届いた絵本は、先方がインド、ネパール、ブータンにある
７７校のチベット難民学校へ配布してくださる予定です。
上の写真は、前回訪問したインドはヒマラヤのラダックに
あるチベタン学校の本棚にあった私の３冊の絵本。
ボロボロになるまで皆が愛読してくれていると知って、
感激で号泣した私でした、、。

今回、絵本を送る上で、出版社のサンクチュアリ出版の
皆さんから沢山のご協力をいただきました。
このプロジェクトを応援してくださった皆さんへも、あらためて
感謝しております！どうもありがとうございました！

Book Signing in San Diego サンディエゴでのサイン＆トーク会

先日、サンディエゴでのサイン＆トーク会に来てくださった皆さん、どうもありがとうございました！サンディエゴに来てまだ一年少しですが、皆さんの応援のおかげで「ホーム」と感じるようになりました。絵本を楽しんでいただけますように、、、。そして素晴らしいホリデーシーズンをお過ごし下さい〜！

My new book, "Save the Himalayas" 絵本『不思議な冒険』

Many children came to read my new book at my book launch (Rubin Museum of Art), and I was so delighted to hear their comments such as, "I want to wear Zompa's dress!" and "Why is the river water round?" They are so free and innocent...! Originally I wrote this book for children, but it contains some important messages towards the adults in the world. So I hope that you will get a copy as a holiday gift!

先日ニューヨークのルービン美術館で開催された私の絵本出版記念イベントでも、沢山の子供達が
絵本を読みに来てくれました。「ゾンパのドレスが着たい！」とか、「川の水がなぜ丸くなっているの？」
など、子供たちの発言はおおらかで嬉しかったです。子供たちのために作った絵本ですが、大人へのメッセージが沢山詰まった一冊です。是非ともクリスマスプレゼントなどにご利用下さいね！（チベット難民孤児のためになります。）
