While walking my dog yesterday I ran into this very grotesque and beautiful plant that I had never seen before in my life. It freaked me out as it was much taller than me. I found out that this bloody looking creature was "Kangaroo's Paws" that came from Australia originally. The flowers are light green with the yellow pistils, and they look like the wolf's fangs. I remember that the cactus roses (jet black cacti that look like roses) freaked me out when I first moved here. Socal is still full of surprises...!

で美しい植物。ギョッとしましたよ～。だって私の背より
高いのですから！一見トナカイの角にも見えるこの
血のように赤い植物は、調べたところ「カンガルーポー」
（カンガルーの手）といってオーストラリアから来たそう
です。
花はグリーンで、動物の牙を思わせる雌しべをつけて
います。
最初に南カリフォルニアに引っ越して来た時、
カクタスローズ（真っ黒なバラのようなカクタス）を見て
ギョギョっとした私。不思議なものがいっぱい生えている
南カリフォルニア。発見がいっぱいです！
