My Name Is New York 私の名前はニューヨーク

I was fortunate to meet His Holiness The Dalai Lama again here in Tokyo the other day. When he saw me he smiled and said, "Oh, it is you! New York!" Every time he sees me he calls me, New York, with a big smile. I usually meet him in New York and Tokyo every year (except last year, we met in India and Southern California) and probably he remembers me the most in New York.

The day I met His Holiness the President Obama won again! It was the best day for me.
HHDL and Obama... they both work tirelessly for their countries. What a great inspiration they are giving us!!!

今、日本訪問中のダライ・ラマ法王に、またお目にかかることができました。ご挨拶すると猊下はニコ～っと微笑になって「おお、君か！ニューヨーク！」とおっしゃった。
いつも猊下は私の顔を見ると、「ニューヨーク、ニューヨーク！」と嬉しそうにおっしゃいます。
ダライ・ラマ法王とは、普段ニューヨークか東京でお会いするので（昨年は南カリフォルニアでお会いしましたが）、猊下にとっては、私イコールニューヨークなのかも知れませんネ。笑

猊下にお会いした日、オバマ大統領が再選！私にとって最高の日となりました。
祖国のために、惜しみなくノンストップで働くお二人、、。
私もできることを続けて行こう！と元気をいただきました。
