Angels Have Returned! やっぱり天使はいる！

This is my custom-made alter that a Tibetan monk made for me. I've been collecting those Tibetan Buddha and Bodhisattva statues for many years. One day I noticed that a White Tara (second from the top on the left) had turned herself towards west. I thought that it was a little naughty trick by my husband. Yet, he thought that it was mine. The alter is higher than my height, so it is impossible for my dog to reach. Then, was it an earthquake? Not that I know of... even so, why other statues did not move a bit? To solve this mystery I sent this photo to my teacher in India. We shall see what he thinks of this.

先日、私のホームページの掲示板（BBS）にも書いたのですが、
今年になってから不思議なことが続いています。この我が家のアルター
は、チベット僧侶に造っていただいたカスタムメイド。私が長年集めて
いるチベットの仏像を納めています。ある日、左側の上から２番目の
「白いターラ神」が、西を向いていたのに気付きました。旦那さんのイタズラ
だと思ったのですが、旦那さんは私のイタズラだと思っていたのです！
このアルターは私の背丈よりも高いので犬が届くはずもありません。
何かで揺れたのだとしても、なぜ他の仏像は全く動いてないのか？
この白いターラ神だけが、きれいに西を向いている、、。しかも、かなり
重いんです。これ。３キロはあるはず。ふ～む。念のために、写真を
インドにいる私の恩師に送っておきました。今はお返事を待っている最中です！



A couple of days later, before leaving for a meeting I put on this elephant pendant. After the meeting I went back to my car, started the car and then I noticed that this elephant had been "placed" so neatly on the component near the driver's seat. It was placed so nicely that it looked as if someone had put it there. I checked my pendant on my neck, and it was gone. I searched for the gold chain and found it near the front door floor. How did the chain end up there, and the pendant only on the far component? I don't know. It is just another mystery that I cannot find the answer..., but instead of trying to figure it out I've decided to thank the angels (or whatever you call them) who are obviously there for me to make my heart warm :)

そして今度はその２日後。ミーティングに行く前に毎日つけているこの
ゾウさんのペンダントをつけて出かけました。ミーティングの後に
車に戻って車をスタートさせた瞬間に、運転席の横にある小物を
入れるコンポーネントに、このぞうさんが、きちんと上をむいて
綺麗に置かれているのを発見。ハッとして首をチェックしたら
ペンダントはありませんでした。チェーンもない。あわてて車の中を
探したら、チェーンが運転席のドアの溝のところに落ちていました。
きっと首からはずれたのでしょう。それにしても、ゾウさんだけが
あんなに離れたコンポーネントに綺麗に上を向いて置かれていた
のが信じられません、、。でも追求するよりも、「何かに守られているんだ」
と、感謝の気持ちを大切にすることにしました～。
