This amazing photo was sent to me via facebook today! During the Dalai Lama's visit to London Aung San Suu Kyi visited him. She had just received the Nobel Peace Prize the other day. This shot had been impossible in the past. "I admire your courage, and I am happy that we are able to meet," His Holiness told her.
In order to make our world a better place we must never give up, and keep on trying with hope and courage. They are the living examples, indeed, and it is needless to say that this photograph deeply moved me, and gave me hope. I wish you a long and healthy life to both of you!!!

写真を見た時は、深く感動しました。以前では
考えられなかった光景ですね！ロンドン訪問中の
ダライ・ラマ法王に会いにいらしたアウン・サン・
スー・チー女史。ノーベル賞平和賞を受賞した
ばかり。猊下は彼女に「貴女の勇気を尊敬します。
こうしてお会いできたことを嬉しく思います」と
おっしゃいました。
世の中を良くして行くためには、諦めず、希望を
捨てずにできることを勇気を持って続けて行く、、、
ということを、自ら生きたお手本となって活動されて
いるお二人の姿を見て、改めて心を動かされました。
