Tiny Autumn in SoCal
Autumn has arrived in SoCal, but it still looks like this outside. Since I was born in Japan and grew up in New York where they had distinctive four seasons I have not still gotten used to this SoCal climate yet.
About two weeks ago the lovely pumpkins began lining up at the stores, and it makes me feel a bit relieved to know that the fall is here, too. The stores have started selling the Halloween items, and some of them already are selling the Christmas stuff! I could not believe it.
We live in a society that wants you to live fast and think ahead constantly. Wouldn't be nice if we could slow down a bit, live for the "now" and just take a slow and deep breath? It is autumn, after all :)
