Water in NYC is good! ニューヨークの水は美味しい！

The city of New York started this "Water-On-The-Go" several years ago.
This portable water fountain appears here and there in the city to keep the New Yorkers hydrated.

数年前に始まった、ニューヨークの「Water-On-The
-Go」プログラム。街中のあちこちに、移動する
ウオーターファウンテンが出現して、ニューヨーカー達
の喉をうるおします。


An award-winning-New York water is actually good. I remember how I was impressed
by its taste when I moved to NYC as a child. This time the fountain appeared at
the Union Square.

ニューヨークの水は美味しいので有名です。子供の頃に
NYに引っ越した時も、その美味しさに驚いたのを覚えて
います。上の写真は、ユニオンスクエアに出現したファウンテン。



If more people carry their own water bottles perhaps we can reduce the
amount of trash on earth. Did you know that only 5% (or less) of the plastic
gets to to be recycled on earth? It is because that most people do not recycle.
How about reducing the numbers of the plastic bottles now?
Viva, New York! It is my home town, indeed!

こうして皆がマイボトルを持ち歩き、ペットボトルを減らす
ことができれば、地球上のゴミは減るかも知れませんね。
地球上のプラスティックボトルは、５％以下しかリサイクル
されないのだそうです。なぜ？殆どの人がリサイクルしない
からです。だったら、ペットボトルの消費を減らせばどうかな？
ニューヨーク、すばらしい！さすが、私の故郷！
