My Treasure from the Himalayas

I received an email from the president of the Tibetan Children's Village in India this morning. It was the last March when I went to India to deliver my books to the Tibetan refugee children, and I had been wondering how they liked them. The email had a huge file of numbers of comments from the children. I was so happy to read them and could not stop crying out of joy.

今朝起きたら、インドはヒマラヤの麓ダラムサラにある
チベット難民学校TCVの学長からのメールが入っていました。
絵本『不思議な冒険』を届けに行ったのは昨年３月。「みんな私の
絵本を楽しんでくれているだろうか」と思っていた矢先のこと
です。メールには沢山の沢山の生徒たちが書いてくれた感想
が綴られていました。もう嬉しくて嬉しくて、大粒の涙がボロボロ
と止まりません。

 I'd like to share some of the comments here:

"This is an unique book. This book made us know who we are and that we must do something to preserve our identity."

"This is a very moving, interesting and colorful book. We prefer books like this, so please make another book again. I will be waiting for your next book."

"I was glued to it when I read this book because it made me feel as if I were back in my homeland, Tibet."

I thank everyone who supported this project and helped me make the books and send them to
exile.

I feel so grateful and humble to know that my books have been loved and appreciated by
the Tibetan refugee children - some left Tibet, some lost their parents there, and some who were born in exile that they have never seen their own homeland. Our hard work has been utterly worth it!

この絵本をチベット難民孤児たちに贈るために、多くの方々が
協力して下さいました。このブログを読んで下さっている皆さんの
中にも、沢山支援して下さって来た方々がおられると思います。

一生懸命、心を込めて作った絵本が、
祖国チベットの親から離れて暮らす子供達や、祖国で親を
失った孤児たち、そして、インドで生まれ、まだ一度も祖国を
見たことが無いチベットの子供たちに、こんなに大切にされ
愛されていることを知って、感激しています。

皆さん、本当にどうもありがとう♡　心を込めて。
