Staten Island スタッテンアイランド

How many times have I gone to the Staten Island so far...? Not too many, but not a few either. In my early twenties I used to take the ferry there with my hammock and a fat pastrami sandwich to go to this Jewish cemetery to have a quiet picnic by myself. It was always so quiet there with nobody to bother me. The Jewish cemetery seemed so foreign to me that it never looked like a cemetery - it felt more like a beautiful park. Then, often I took my friends from out of town for just the ferry ride. It was just delightful. My favorite part is, of course, the Statue of Liberty. There is nothing more "New York" than our Lady!
